My journey

Work experience

  • Senior software engineer @Hucency

    2025 Today

At Hucency, a B2B cybersecurity awareness platform formerly known as Avant de cliquer, I work as a senior software engineer on the main product. The platform helps companies train their employees through realistic phishing simulations, SMS campaigns, vishing scenarios, and fake login forms, followed by targeted cybersecurity learning content when users interact with simulated threats.
My work covers both the Django backend and the Vue.js frontend, within a small team of five developers working closely with the co-founder. I contributed to core product features, including a custom AI-assisted phishing email editor designed for non-technical users, and helped improve the engineering workflow by introducing unit testing. I am also working on the platform's CI/CD pipeline using GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Sentry, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and smoother deployments.

  • Freelance software engineer

    2024 2025

As a freelance software engineer, I design and develop custom web applications, websites, and digital tools tailored to each client's unique goals and technical constraints. I handle full-stack development, from database architecture and backend logic to responsive front-end interfaces, while also offering consulting on infrastructure, performance optimization, and scalability. Working independently or alongside client teams, I've delivered reliable, maintainable solutions across a wide range of industries and use cases.

  • Python engineer @Silvr

    2022 2024

At Silvr, a Paris-based fintech startup, I worked as a Python engineer within the Acquisition Squad, where I contributed to the development of the customer-facing onboarding platform. My work involved building and maintaining the web interface that allowed prospective clients to register, submit company information, and securely connect third-party services such as banking and revenue platforms via API integrations. The goal was to streamline the application process while ensuring high data integrity and user experience.
Beyond acquisition, I also collaborated closely with the Risk Management team, where I designed and implemented a real-time evaluation algorithm that provided instant insights into a company's financial health. This system empowered the business team with immediate risk indicators, accelerating decision-making and improving the efficiency of lead qualification. Additionally, I partnered with a data analyst to develop internal tools for monitoring user behavior, application funnel metrics, and platform performance, providing key insights to optimize product strategy and business operations.

  • Web developer & tech lead @Akena Technologies

    2017 2022

At Akena Technologies, I spent five years working across multiple projects as a web developer and later as technical lead. Initially part of a small development team of four, I was recruited to work on a new initiative called Gearscore, a data-driven product aggregation and analytics platform. While I contributed to the company's main platform, Mediavacances.com (a vacation rental marketplace), I also worked on Trustedrent, and Proskilab, gaining exposure to a wide range of features from e-commerce and payment systems to content aggregation and seasonal data tools.
After two years, I stepped into the tech lead role, where I led the modernization of the company's technical stack and workflows. I introduced version control, transitioned legacy systems to frameworks such as Django, Symfony, Bootstrap, and Webpack, and implemented Docker to streamline the server architecture. I also developed and deployed several microservices, including one for email marketing and transactional messages, and another for managing static assets, significantly improving performance and maintainability across projects.

  • Web developer @CRIAC

    2016 2017

At CRIAC, a non-profit supporting other organizations with tech services, I worked as a web developer and built custom applications like the IRFO pedometer challenge and the Muteco survey platform, handling all aspects of development. I also provided IT support, set up networks, and ran workshops, from basic computer use for seniors to 3D printing sessions for kids.

  • Freelance web developer

    2006 2016

In parallel with my studies and full-time positions, I maintained an independent freelance activity building WordPress and PHP websites for small businesses and local shops. These projects typically involved creating affordable, responsive websites with user-friendly content management, helping clients establish or improve their digital presence without technical overhead.

  • IT & Web Assistant @Tandelec

    2006

At Tandelec, a local computer repair shop, I completed a summer internship where I helped build and repair computers, and also managed the company's WordPress website. This early hands-on experience strengthened my technical foundation and introduced me to real-world IT and web work.
